One person was killed and another was hurt in a single-vehicle crash in Cumberland County early Saturday morning.

According to the Vineland Police Department, just after 12:30 AM, their officers were called to the area of East Sherman Avenue and Hance Bridge Road.

A preliminary investigation revealed that 52-year-old Armando Garcia of Vineland was driving a 2009 Nissan Pathfinder eastbound on East Sherman Avenue when he veered into a wooded area just east of Hance Bridge Road striking a tree.

As a result of the collision, a front-seat passenger, 37-year-old Keila Osoria-Garcia of Wildwood, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Garcia was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden for treatment of serious injuries; he was last reported to be in stable condition.

No charges have been filed at this time.
