2 Charged After Dollar General Argument Ends in Stabbing, Middle Twp. Police Say
Middle Township, N.J. — An argument that allegedly started at a Dollar General store in Cape May County escalated into a stabbing at the victims' home Sunday evening, leaving two people hurt and two others facing charges.
27-year-old Skyana Fireall and her boyfriend, 33-year-old Sean Bey, both of Cape May Court House, were taken into custody without incident following an investigation by the Middle Township Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office.
From Dollar General to the Front Door
The Middle Township Police Department said its officers were called to Maryland Avenue in the Burleigh section of the township just before 6 PM Sunday for a report of a stabbing.
Officers arrived to find a 27-year-old woman from Lynchburg, VA, with a stab wound to her upper left forearm, and a 29-year-old man, also from Lynchburg, with multiple head and back injuries. Both were taken to Cooper-Cape Regional Medical Center for treatment.
According to authorities, investigators determined that the incident began earlier when Fireall and the female victim got into an argument at the Dollar General store in Burleigh.
Shortly after, Fireall and Bey allegedly showed up at the victims' home; Bey got into a physical fight with the male victim. When the female victim stepped in to break it up, Fireall allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed her in the upper left forearm. The two then fled the scene.
Charges
Fireall was charged with second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Bey was charged with second-degree aggravated assault and two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Both were lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Facility pending court proceedings.
Authorities say the parties knew one another and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
