Here's some good news (no pun intended) — the Goodwill Store in Egg Harbor Township, which suffered a devastating fire at the beginning of the year, will reopen next month.

Firefighters had their hands full at the store on the old Cardiff Circle on the afternoon of Monday, January 15th, when a fire, determined to be arson, destroyed all merchandise inside. No injuries were reported.

Goodwill Store in Egg Harbor Twp. Reopening

Now, nearly five months later, the store is set to reopen at 9 AM on Thursday, May 2nd.

Goodwill President & CEO Mark B. Boyd said in a press release,

We are excited to be re-opening our Cardiff Plaza store. We are incredibly grateful to the local community for helping us rebuild our inventory through their generous donations. Shoppers are in for a real treat.

Since the fire, numerous organizations have held donation drives to restock the store while those in the community have continued to drop off items at the back of the shopping center.

Goodwill's Egg Harbor Township store, a fixture in the community since 1997, will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 7 PM and Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM.
