Birds Shot Dead in Ocean City, New Jersey: Why? (Photos)

A gentlelady tagged me on a Facebook post about birds recently being shot and killed in Ocean City, New Jersey.

I want to thank her for taking the time to let me know about this incident … which allows me to share some information and thoughts about this tragic and senseless violent act … perpetrated upon such helpless birds.

This is a sad and violent situation that has occurred for senseless reasons.

The photo above and ones that were including below, are graphic and show the blood, etc.

It is deeply disturbing that someone would shoot and kill helpless birds in this cruel manner.

This is how Sean Swift described encountering the dead birds:

”On my way to work I saw a duck (Brant) sitting in the middle of the road on 16th and Simpson. I thought it was weird so I got out of my truck to check on it. That's when I saw that it had been shot and its wing was also in the street. Then I noticed 4 more ducks that were also shot and dead laying on the grass. A pretty gruesome way to start the morning...” said Swift.
