Atlantic County, NJ Election Predictions Before The Polls Close
Many people have a genuine thirst for information on Election Day, while the actual voting is taking place.
Very little information is available … so, we thought that we would provide you with our own crystal ball … my predictions regarding today’s election contests.
Governor of New Jersey
It would be easy to predict that Democrat Mikie Sherrill will be the next Governor of New Jersey.
After all, Sherrill leads by about 280,000 votes going into today’s General Election Day.
However, that’s not my prediction.
I predict that Jack Ciattarelli will be the next Governor of New Jersey.
Ciattarelli made up 200,000 votes versus New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy on General Election Day, 2021.
Ciattarelli will make-up his current deficit by 8:00 p.m. tonight.
New Jersey General Assembly — District 2
Assemblyman Don Guardian and Assemblywoman Claire Swift will be re-elected in a landslide.
Let’s be honest, even a super majority of Democrats can’t even name the two Democrat challengers.
It should be a blowout in the 60 percent to 40 percent blowout range for Guardians and Swift.
Atlantic County Surrogate
Jim Curcio will win a third consecutive 5-year term by a wide margin … in the same range as Guardian and Swift.
Only a very few can name Curcio’s opponent.
Atlantic County Commissioner — At Large
Art Schenker is the Mayor of Hamilton Township. This is his first Atlantic County-wide run.
Schenker will win a three-year term by a wide margin.
Atlantic County Commissioner — District 1
This District was carved out to make it a Democrat seat on the Atlantic Board of Commissioners.
Atlantic City Councilman George Tibbitt switched his political party affiliation from Democrat to Republican.
The Reverend Collins Days is the Democrat nominee. Long-time Commissioner Ernest Coursey has passed away, making this an open seat.
This is the tough race in Atlantic County this year.
Powered by his (Tibbitt’s) record of accomplishment for 20 years on the Atlantic City Council … coupled with the strength of this year’s Atlantic County Republican ticket … I predict that Tibbitt will win versus Days.
* BONUS * Prediction — Atlantic City Mayor
Atlantic City is about 10 to 1 in favor of Democrat registrations versus Republican.
Despite facing as many criminal indictments as Mookie Betts has World Series Championship rings (4) … Marty Small has a significant advantage over his Republican challenger, Naeem Khan going into today’s General Election.
Khan has demonstrated that he is un-bought and un-bossed. He has run an admirable and respectable campaign.
However, The composition of the voting electorate in Atlantic City is just too much to overcome.
Small will win today, however, he will likely lose his public position beginning December 1, 2025 at his criminal trial … which is only a few weeks away.
