Atlantic City, New Jersey, Police Arrest Man Who Pointed a Gun

Atlantic City, New Jersey Police Officer John Bell has done it, again. During this latest example, Bell did so along with fellow Officer Danny Feliciano.

Officer Bell has been materially involved and at the scene of a number of important Atlantic City Police Department successes this year.

The Atlantic City Police Department:

• recovered two handguns.
• arrested a suspect involved in pointing a firearm at another person.

The suspect has been charged with numerous criminal offenses.

Specifically, the Atlantic City Police Department released the following information about these incidents as follows:

“On November 24, 2024, at 11:32 PM, patrol officers responded to the Atlantic Palace located in the 1500 block of the Boardwalk in reference to a man in possession of a firearm. The man pointed the firearm at a security guard during an altercation and then fled. Officer Danny Feliciano was able to review surveillance footage of the altercation and observed Andrew Ibechem point the firearm. Officers learned that Ibechem may be staying at a hotel within Atlantic City. Officer John Bell located Ibechem and took him into custody. A court authorized search warrant was approved and executed at Ibechem's room and vehicle. During the search, officers recovered two handguns, am-munition, and two knives,” said the Atlantic City Police Department.

ARRESTED:

Andrew Ibechem, 29, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

CHARGES:

• Unlawful possession of a weapon (four counts).
• possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
• aggravated assault.
• certain person not to possess a weapon.

Ibechem Is presently lodged at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
