New Discount Store Coming to Former Staples Location in Absecon
Jersey Cow Ice Cream shop isn't the only new spot opening in Absecon!
A new store is set to open at 413 E Absecon Blvd in Absecon at the site that used to be home to Staples, which has sat vacant for years.
The discount store has one other New Jersey location at the Beylea Shopping Plaza, 1240 Hopper Avenue in Toms River. That store, which opened in 2021, occupies the former Bed Bath & Beyond space.
From Staples to Steals & Deals
Absecon is about to welcome a new addition to its retail scene, Steals & Deals, which will be the new store and will be located in the parking lot where Home Depot is located.
The spot was formerly a Staples, a retail chain that offered brand-name electronics, print services, along with office supplies and furniture, has been vacant for several years. Like many brick-and-mortar chains, Staples has struggled to compete with online retailers.
What Is Steals & Deals?
Steals and Deals is described as a discount store offering clothing, household goods, electronics, and groceries, as well as toys and party supplies and has received positive reviews for its wide selection and competitive pricing.
It looks like a spot where you can find a little bit of everything, all in one spot, at a discounted price. It's similar to a TJ Maxx or Marshall's, which offer discounted pricing on overstock, closeouts, and liquidation items from major retailers.
No official opening date has been set, but when it opens and you're in the Absecon area and enjoy bargain hunting, Steals & Deals might be a place worth visiting.
