For many people, the Christmas season is the most popular holiday on the calendar. From the decor to the gift giving to the seasonal music, Christmas is for many, "the most wonderful time of the year".

But a new survey of thousands of Americans in each state across the country reveals that people have strong opinions about Christmas holiday traditions. The researchers at Casino.ca discovered 15 holiday debates that Americans in each state do not agree on.

What are New Jersey's Christmas Holiday Hot Takes?

According to the research team at Casino.ca, New Jersey agrees with many of the biggest hot topics for the Christmas Holiday season.

*New Jersey is one of 31 United States that view Elf on the Shelf as Creepy, with 55 percent of NJ residents stating their feelings about the Elf character. Joining New Jersey in this hot take is Delaware, Texas, and Colorado.

*72 percent of New Jersey residents "think it’s perfectly acceptable"to Regift presents for Christmas. NJ is one of 47 states that a majority of residents say that regifting to an acceptable option for Christmas presents.

*A majority of New Jersey residents choose fake over real Christmas Trees (59 percent of survey NJ residents). There are 35 states where the majority agrees with NJ Christmas Tree choices, a list that includes New York, Texas, New Jersey, Florida, and Pennsylvania.

Also, 55 percent of New Jersey residents say Turkey is an "overrated" holiday food, and 69 percent like Ugly Christmas Sweaters.  But many NJ residents prefer Christmas over Thanksgiving because people are tired of Holiday Debates.
