On Thursday, I took my daughter to the Phillies afternoon games, and tt was a beautiful day.  Citizens Bank Park is a fan-friendly stadium, and there are plenty of things to do for the kids. My daughter and her friends had a blast.

One thing that stood out was while my daughter and her friends were hanging by the dugout waiting for some of the players to come over for an autograph or selfie, not one player came over.  What a let down!! While the kids were doing their thing, climbing the wall or playing whiffleball, I remained in my seat and watched the game. The Phillies swept the Padres again and had ten hits on Thursday.  Plus another fine outing by their ace starting pitcher Zack Wheeler. Wheeler went seven innings, striking out eight and walking one. The Chicago White Sox come to town over the weekend.

This Saturday is the 158th running of the Belmont Stakes at Saratoga race course. This race is the third leg of the Triple Crown.  The Locker Room loves the big three, and we will have a complete breakdown of the race with Jeffrey Nash from the Fastlanehandicapper.com . Plus "Lefty" Lou Cappelli will handicap the race on Saturday’s show.

On Sunday’s show, Producer Alex Berardis and my intern Erin Ewing will join me in the studio.  We will talk Phillies Baseball and go “On the Mound” with former Phillies pitcher Tommy Greene brought to you by Blitz’s market of Ocean City.  Tommy analyzes the Phillies' week and previews Sunday’s game.  In Hour Two, Mr. Negadelphia P.J. Corda checks in with his Pithy thought on the Philly Sports scene brought to you by the Vassor Pool Service.  Next, we will get our “High School Athletes in the Spotlight” with Fran Mclaughlin brought to you by the Philly Pretzel Factory of EHT.
