Former Eagles Tight End Jack Stoll Joins Kellen Moore in New Orleans
As players start to find new teams, plenty of NFL franchises are grabbing players who spent time in Philadelphia.
Former Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is now the head coach in New Orleans with the Saints and is taking a former Eagle with him.
The Saints have signed former Eagles tight end Jack Stoll to a 1-year deal. Stoll had two stints with the team, playing in seven games in 2024 and 57 over from 2021-2024.
Stoll also spent four games with the Miami Dolphins during the 2024 season.
An Undrafted free agent from the 2021 draft class, he is known primarily for his blocking abilities and has just 22 catches for 193 yards in his 61 career games.
Why Losing Stoll Could Have an Impact for Eagles
While losing Stoll might not seem like a big deal right now, the team may have to move on from starting tight end Dallas Goedert. As we have discussed on Football at Four with the Inside the Birds guys, Goedert is a guy the Eagles may be unable to afford moving forward.
NFL insider Josina Anderson reported that the team is hoping to land at least a fourth-round pick for Goedert in a trade, even if the pick isn't in the 2025 NFL Draft.
As Anderson points out, "a lower pick and more of a salary adjustment is needed for some teams to continue conversations."
