Flyers Files: Working Overtime
Welcome to another edition of Flyers Files, an exclusive podcast available only on 97.3 ESPN. Join 97.3 ESPN Flyers insider Kevin Durso and co-host Haley Taylor Simon as they break down the last week of Flyers hockey.
The Flyers played just three games in the last week, getting points in all three. After a comeback win over Chicago that was capped off by a Matvei Michkov overtime game-winner, the Flyers let a lead slip away in an eventual shootout loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.
The team hit the road for the first time after a five-game homestand on Wednesday and stole two points with a last-minute tying goal in regulation and an overtime game-winner from Sean Couturier.
As the Flyers prepare to face the New York Rangers in the annual Black Friday game, Kevin and Haley are live from Wells Fargo Center to discuss the latest topic surrounding the Flyers.
Three players are the focus of this one, each getting benched as a healthy scratch at some point during the season. Morgan Frost returned from four games as a healthy scratch in a five-game span and has scored in back-to-back games. Couturier now has goals in three straight games. And since returning to the lineup, Michkov has four goals and seven points in his last eight games.
The Flyers also had Cam York and Emil Andrae return to the lineup, while they await the return of Jamie Drysdale and Sam Ersson from the injured list.
