The Philadelphia Eagles could be getting a key player back this week when they take on the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night.

The team has opened the 21-day practice window for left tackle Jordan Mailata.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was asked about his availability for Thursday's game and Sirianni said "We'll see how this week goes".

Fred Johnson has started at left tackle in Mailata's absence and has performed well, but getting Mailata back would give the Eagles all five of their opening night starters on the offensive line.

"Fred's done a nice job," Sirianni added. We'll play it by ear.  If Jordan's not ready, he won't go. If he's ready, he'll go. We'll see where we are at the end of the week,"

Mailata has been on the injured reserve since Oct 18 after suffering a hamstring injury in the win over the Cleveland Browns and has missed four games overall with the injury.
