Eagles Sign Veteran Johnny Mundt and Re-Sign Grant Calcaterra

The Philadelphia Eagles are bringing in veteran tight end Johnny Mundt, adding their first offensive player in free agency.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, who first reported the news of the 31-year-old Mundt heading to Philadelphia on Tuesday night, Philadelphia and Mundt have an agreement on a one-year contract.

The Jaguars released Mundt on Monday.

Mundt played 16 games for the Jaguars last season. He caught nine passes for 111 receiving yards and a touchdown with Jacksonville.

He is mainly known as a blocking tight end and played with the Rams his first five seasons in the league before heading to Minnesota for three seasons. Overall, he has 74 receptions for 658 yards and four touchdowns during his nine seasons.
