Granted, they were harmless, but they were seriously creepy.

Well, now, experts are saying that this year could be the year of the tarantula in the United States.

People claim that this year's tarantula mating season could be the most intense season yet, and that we shouldn't be surprised if we see hordes of tarantulas roaming around trying to find their sweet spider side piece.

Are Tarantulas Really That Dangerous?

It's important to note that tarantulas are more afraid of you than you are afraid of them, and that, in all honesty, they're pretty calm and docile creatures.

I still want to grab the big boot, just looking at a picture of one, but that's more of a personal problem.

Will Tarantulas Invade New Jersey?

Does New Jersey really need to worry about these 'hordes' of tarantula's though?

According to this report, tarantulas can be found across 29 states in America, which blew my mind. I did not know we had a wild tarantula population in the United States.

According to People, though, the 29 states are all in the Midwest and the West Coast, so fortunately, we don't have to worry about tarantula mating season, which occurs each fall, here in the Garden State, phew!
